After years of moaning about it, Vegan Mischief finally decided that nobody else was going to swoop in and save Vancouver from its chronic lack of a weekly vegan brunch. We have been hosting Saturday brunches since January, 2011. Each week, we craft a new, themed, three-item menu featuring one gluten-free and one soy-free option, using as much organic and local produce as we can find.
Brunch is an event we host for friends and friends-of-friends in Vancouver. We wholeheartedly encourage you to start up your own food events, wherever you live. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
To make a reservation for Saturday brunch, please email us with the size of your party and what time you’d like to visit – 10, 11, 12, or 1. We’ll get back to you with all relevant information.
Currently Scheduled Brunches
We are currently doing about one brunch a month until we can find a permanent space. Get in touch for upcoming dates.
Please be on time.
Because each seating is only an hour long, it is very important that you arrive on time for your brunch reservation! If you don’t, then someone else who has reserved after you might not get their table on time. Please do your best to be on time, and if you can’t be, get in touch with us through the phone number in the confirmation email so we can have your food ready when you arrive.
I want to come – what do I do?
You make a reservation by contacting us and letting us know whether you’d like to come at 10am, 11am, 12pm, or 1pm, how many people are in your party, and for which Saturday. We’ll get back to you confirming your reservation and sending you all the relevant details. Then, all you have to do is show up (on time!) on the date you’ve reserved for and eat some delicious vegan brunch.
Where is it?
Vegan brunch is held in a private location. Once you’ve made a reservation, the address details will be sent to you via email. We don’t release the address publicly because we have a very limited capacity, so if someone were to show up and surprise us, we wouldn’t have space for them or food to feed them.
Can I bring extra friends who I haven’t reserved for?
Please, please, please clear this with us before you show up – preferably at least a day before brunch. On the day of, we are absolutely swamped and will be unable to answer email or even phone calls. We will let you know whether we have space for your additional guests.
I have to cancel my reservation! What do I do?
Get in touch with us via email up to the day before brunch (Friday). If you have to cancel on the day-of, please call us at the number we give you in your confirmation email. Please do your best to let us know as soon as possible, as we often have a waitlist for tables.
Can you accommodate my special dietary restrictions?
Absolutely. Whether you’re nut-free, pepper-free, allergic to garlic, gluten-free, soy-free, or something else totally zany (like allergic to kiwis), we will make sure to have something just for you. All you have to do is let us know when you make your reservation so we can plan accordingly. Though we will do our best to make sure no utensils touching your food-allergy touch your food, please keep in mind that there is always a chance of contamination, so if you’re incredibly allergic, our space might not be best for you.
